A world-renowned piano duo consisting of Honored Artist of Ukraine, laureate of national and international competitions, laureate of the art prizes named after L.Revutsky, A.Vedel and M.Lysenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Composition of the National Music Academy of Ukraine Iryna Aleksiychuk and People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of national and international competitions, laureate of the art prize named after L.Revutsky, professor of the department of special piano No.1 National Music Academy of Ukraine Yurii Kot.Photo by Igor Demchuk




The duo has existed since 1983 and is a laureate of three international competitions, two of which (the ARD International Competition in Munich and the Murray Dranoff Two Piano Competition in Miami) are considered to be among the most prestigious and difficult music competitions in the world. The duo's repertoire includes works of world classics and original, sometimes exclusive, works created just for this duet. I.Aleksiychuk and Y.Kot are performers, and often the first performers, of works by many Ukrainian composers (E.Stankovych, H.Lyashenko, Y.Ishchenko, L.Dychko, O.Kostin, B.Filts, Y.Lapinsky, V.Yefremov, V.Zhuravytskyi, S.Lunyov, M.Kovalinas and others).Photo by Igor Demchuk


●  The duo performed with the symphony orchestra of the Bavarian Radio in Munich, Germany (conductors – Wolfgang Balzer, Lothar Zagrosek); "MERCK" Chamber Orchestra, Darmstadt, Germany (conductor - Christian Rudolph Riedel); National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine (conductors - Volodymyr Sirenko, Viktor Ploskina); The National Pop Symphony Orchestra (conductor – Natalia Ponomarchuk); Zaporizhia National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (conductor – Vyacheslav Redya); "ARCHI" Chamber Orchestra, Kyiv (conductor - Ihor Andrievskyi); Chamber Ensemble "Kyiv Soloists", Kyiv (conductor - Bohodar Kotorovych); Symphony Orchestra "New World Symphony" in Miami, USA (conductor - Neil Stahlberg) and others.
